All three valves work smoothly and all of the slides came out easily (the smallest one on the side came out too easily, I think, so it might need some adjusting, but it does stay in place under normal handling). The serial number is "145" - at least I guess that is the serial number that appears on the middle valve - see photos - and I don't find any other number on it that would seem to be a serial number.Overall length with the mouthpiece inserted is about 17.25 inches. Please note I have NOT polished it up (I never do that, always leaving that decision to the new owner) and it still looks GREAT! The horn is engraved "Lyric Wurlitzer U.S.A.". I also don't know the actual age, but I'm guessing (only guessing) it is at least 60 years old or more.It has a silver finish, but I have no idea if it is silver plated, chrome, nickel plated, or what. I am NOT an expert on musical instruments, but I have seen and sold enough of them to tell you this seems like an excellent instrument, very well made, solid and BEAUTIFUL in my opinion. Wow! Take a look at the great condition of this vintage Wurlitzer "Lyric" trumpet (or cornet, I don't for sure which it is) that I just found in a local estate.
